Sunburst’s Share Your Shutters Winner for Fall 2017

Holly Perron

Congratulations to Sunburst’s newest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters shows two rooms decked out with stylish new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based interior designer with a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. Just one look at her pictures shows how she combines whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but with an undeniable sense of flair.

She even has some advice for DIYers in Hartford and around the country:

  • Have a color scheme. When you go about decorating a room, you’re always able to adjust colors to customize it. Be sure to pull in hues from either your home’s color pallet or ones that will accentuate it.

  • Be flexible in your color usage. I use shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture includes shades of gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So I chose to mix in splashes of white and color accents.

Not only does Chelsey pick some fantastic color combos, but the use of space in her house is just as good. From the chairs she uses that guide the eyes right up to the wall and her plantation shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s home is fashionable, practical, and altogether livable without ever seeming overwhelming.

As our contest winner for Fall, we’ll send Chelsey a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see her entire body of work, visit her personal site at
